Christmas village wreath

There’s always room for one more wreath…Right?

I created 3 of these, loosely based on Martha Stewart’s village wreath. I purchased 4 inexpensive ($2.99) wreaths from Michaels.

Then I spray painted the tops of 3 of them a midnight blue color, and added some stripes of white spray paint to the rest of the wreath. The fourth wreath was painted entirely white, and then taken apart. ( I used those pieces at the end of the project to fill in underneath the houses)

Santa’s sleigh and the houses were all cut with my Cricut. I used vellum in most of the windows because I knew I wanted to houses to light up.After assembly, I got glued all those pieces on. I created Santa, the reindeer, the toy soldiers and the snowman from sculpey. ( I create molds from 2 part epoxy clay for most of my sculpey pieces so I can make multiples quickly) Then I added other detail decor: I glittered bottle brush trees, used some Mama Elephant die cut lights and stars and added some styrofoam ‘snow’.

Each wreath is slightly different…I used different papers on the houses and some different decorations in them. The last step was to add battery operated lights into the houses; those are just wired into place.
